Women’s History Month

This Women's History Month, we need to raise $150,000 to support our work for the rest of 2024.

Here4TheKids is a woman-led movement dedicated to collective liberation and abolishing oppressive systems.

For the past year, our movement has largely been a labor of love. We sprung to life in March 2023, enveloped in the reality that we could no longer wait for other organizations or our government to take action. And when the movement came to life, a new breath of hope filled our souls.

Since our inception, we've mobilized thousands and thousands of first-time organizers, created hundreds of hours of free content, created a lasting legacy of solidarity, and built a community advocating abolition. And it is working. Our community is changing the way in which Americans engage with liberatory justice and abolition work.

However, we are only getting started – and to see the fruits of our labor and further augment what we have instituted over the last year, we need to keep building this community and need investment from everyone who gets value from our programming, content, and speakers.

Our team is currently working seven days a week (literally) to build solidarity and coalition, change the cultural DNA of our nation, and organize a genuine resistance to white supremacy, patriarchal dominance, and militarized imperialism.

Yet, here is the reality of our current world: we cannot continue our crucial work without funding. Here4TheKids can ONLY be sustained and GROW with substantial community investment.

We are one of the few organizations unapologetically linking the violence we see in the United States to the brutality our nation is funding and exporting, as we understand that only through COLLECTIVE abolition, liberation, and solidarity can we demand an equitable world for future generations.

Here4TheKids was born of our need for abolition and divestment from white supremacy – born of our need to divest from death, degradation, and destruction. 'Abolition' and 'white supremacy' are not just words thrown into occasional social media posts to us – these are the core of our entire movement's structure.

Help us reimagine our global reality. Help us continue to build the world we need.

FUND WOMEN LEADERS

  • Women of color are more likely than white women to be shot and killed with firearms. Guns are used in more than half of all homicides of women and disproportionately against Black women. Since 1982, 97% of all mass shootings have been carried out by males. Fund women leaders. Ban guns.

  • Men cause significantly more climate emissions than women. Men help further exacerbate environmental catastrophe by resisting green behavior as ‘unmanly’. Black and Brown women and children are disproportionately affected by the climate crisis. Fund women leaders. Ban fossil fuels.

  • Since polling wars began, men have always backed war at a much higher percentage than women. Black and Brown women and children are disproportionately affected by military dominance. Throughout history, war has almost exclusively been waged by men. Fund women leaders. Save children.
